SUMMARY:Back To School Bash and Resource Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Back to School Bash & Resource Fair is a community event designed to ensure every child begins the school year with confidence\, dignity\, and the tools they need to succeed. Each year\, Marion Cares brings together local businesses\, churches\, schools\, and volunteers to serve families facing financial challenges. By removing barriers to learning\, we help students start the year ready to thrive. \nEach student receives: A backpack with grade-specific supplies\, free haircuts to boost confidence\, a free family meal\, a Resource Fair connecting families with local support services. Financial need is the only requirement for participation for Linn-Mar Students.

DESCRIPTION:Trunk or treat is where we provide winter clothing essentials to our Marion Cares Neighborhood families in need. Items are purchased specifically for that child and they are guaranteed to receive these items at the event. Smaller items such as hats\, gloves\, scarves\, underwear\, socks\, blankets and other personal items are collected from the community to be handed out in other trunks.\n* Please note due to limited resources we are only able to serve families living in Squaw Creek Village and Marion Village at this time.
