We have a heart for the children in our community and are dedicated to seeing them thrive!
We provide afterschool programming, summer programming, and meals. We collaborate with others to provide backpacks, vision testing and other resources for our students to be more successful.
After School Programming
The children's programming provides a safe and supportive environment with a positive and trusted adult mentor. During programming we provide games, STEM activities, crafts and bible lessons with the focus to foster the relationships and love for our children and their families. Programming is provided in the Marion Village and Squaw Creek Village communities.
Summer Connection
Summer Connection is our free community-wide summer program focused on broadening kids’ horizons and offering unique opportunities for continued learning through play and mentorship.
Son-Seekers
Son-Seekers is our Summer Connection Program. At Son-Seekers, we have three main components. We exercise our minds through STEM and educational projects, we exercise our hearts through Vacation Bible School, and we exercise our bodies at the park, splash pad, and field trips!
Summer Connection is hosted in Marion Village and Squaw Creek Village weekly.
Backpack to School
Any student in need who attends a Marion Independent or Linn-Mar school is welcome to sign up for a free backpack with school supplies! Local families anonymously adopt students and shops specifically for them!
Sign up is available from May 2-July 4th.
Signup to receive a backpack for the 2024-2025 school year has now ended.
Thank you to our amazing community for helping over 800 children receive backpack and/or school supplies and helping the children have the best start to the school year possible!
We partner with the schools to brighten the holidays for children in need! Any student in need who attends a Marion Independent or Linn-Mar school is welcome to sign up. Contact your local school office for questions about registration.
